AI SpaceFactory CEO David Malott to Deliver Plenary at 2025 Mars Society Convention

The Mars Society is excited to announce that David Malott, co-founder and CEO of AI SpaceFactory, will be a plenary speaker at the 28th Annual International Mars Society Convention, taking place October 9–11, 2025, at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

In his address, Mr. Malott will discuss how 3D printing is revolutionizing space exploration and Mars settlement. He’ll spotlight AI SpaceFactory’s cutting-edge work on using local materials—such as Martian regolith—to build sustainable, off-world habitats.

A NASA award-winning architect, Mr. Malott is the visionary behind AI SpaceFactory’s Mars Habitat and StarForge, a large-format 3D printer designed for planetary construction. He also serves as Chief Architect at PlanetWorks and has spent nearly 30 years designing some of the world’s tallest skyscrapers.

Now, his focus is on applying advanced architecture, ISRU (in situ resource utilization), and robotic construction to both space and Earth-based projects—blending vision with technical precision to help shape humanity’s future beyond Earth.
