Programs

 

In addition to updates on current the Phoenix Mars Lander, Spirit, Opportunity, Mars Express, and the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter missions now exploring the Red Planet as well as Mars Society programs, we will also be featuring some special programming. All are guaranteed to be informative and exciting! 

 

Exploration:  An Historical Perspective
We will examine the history of exploration on Earth and discuss how historical lessons might be able to be applied to space exploration.

The Second Great Mars Blitz!
We will be sending over 100 conference participants to Capitol Hill to talk to Congressional offices about why they should support human missions to Mars.

The Art of Space   
We will have  panel of artists discuss the importance of he arts to promote and document space exploration.
Media and Space
Panel discussion on the role of media in space exploration.

NASA Goddard Tour
A tour of NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, which is near to our conference site, will be held on July 29 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. There will be a $10 fee to cover transportation costs to the Mars Society.
