The Journey of the University Rover Challenge
September 25th, 2016
Each year, for the past 10 years, student engineering teams from around the world have been preparing themselves for 12 months of designing and building the next generation of Mars Rovers. These student teams compete in an annual competition, held at the Mars Desert Research Station in Hanksville, Utah, called the University Rover Challenge. The journey of URC for engineering students is an extremely difficult task but out of it, they receive valuable experience with very rewarding results. This documentary video is meant to raise awareness for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) education, and to showcase the hard work that engineering students put in to designing and building Mars Rovers that may one day work alongside human explorers in the field. Thanks to everyone who supports the vision of STEM education and Space Exploration.
