Martian Weather Between 7 July 2008 and 13 July 2008:

The weather on Mars this past week was similar to that observed in previous weeks. The north polar region remained clear throughout the week aside from a few small, short- lived dust storm events near the edge of the residual cap. Localized dust storm activity was also observed in Solis Planum and northwest of Elysium Mons. Water ice clouds were present over the large Tharsis volcanoes (Olympus Mons, Tharsis Montes and Alba Patera), in the Elysium region and throughout the equatorial latitudes. Conditions over the Phoenix and MER landing sites remained clear throughout the week.
