NASA Ames Research Center K10 Rovers to Visit Haughton Crater on Devon Island

July 9 - 31 the Intelligent Robotics group will be conducting a field test at Haughton Crater (Devon Island, Canadian Arctic) with two K10 rovers.

The rovers will conduct a comprehensive site survey of the "Drill Hill" area using a 3D lidar (for topographic mapping) and the JPL CRUX ground-penetrating radar (for subsurface mapping).

Pete Worden will assist in field operations. Remote operations (rover driving and site survey monitoring) will be conducted by IRG researchers at JSC.

When pulling it back up, the rope broke. They couldn`t see it at first so they went back to quad and then collected all the parts of the broken CRV. Then they learned what happened.
