The Mars Society is excited to announce the release of the Spring 2009 edition of The Mars Quarterly (TMQ). The current issue contains articles by Dr. Chris McKay, of NASA Ames; an interview with Dr. Steve Squyres; a call for the creation of "Biosphere M" by Bruno D.V. Marino, PhD; an adaptation of the speech given by Miles O'Brien, formerly of CNN, to the scientists of JPL in January 2009; and an Op/Ed by Michael Simpson, President of the International Space University. This issue also brings to our readers the beautiful and provocative artwork of artists Jim Plaxco and Marilynn Flynn.
The Mars Quarterly, the official magazine of The Mars Society, had its first two issues published electronically in online and email formats, and both met with critical acclaim and informational success. Thanks in part to that success, the third issue which will be published July 1, will be the first issue to be offered in both electronic and print formats.
