Multi-Update
It's been over a month since I've updated this web page, but there's been a lot of action in other locations. The TEMPO team has been quite busy.
The TEMPO³ team has been very active the last few weeks. It's hard to believe that, next week will move us into our fourth month of the project! Here are some highlights:
- Live video updates take place on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at 8:30PM ET at ustream. Old shows are archived, so you can get caught up.
- Multiple concepts are explained on YouTube. We're up to five so far!
- The video updates and YouTube videos are also conveniently accessible from this blog.
- We've picked up some very excited and knowledgeable team members, who have brought some amazing ideas (and the technical capability to put them in action) to the project.
- We've received our first major donation from the Louis L Stott Foundation.
- We've spoken with Dick Gordon, who, along with Pete Conrad, actually rode on a spacecraft generating artificial gravity during the Gemini 11 mission, and are working with him to determine how he can help us.
- A Mars Society member (Terry Mackintosh), built a 'lo-fidelity' model of TEMPO³ for explaining the concept. He's refining the design for future updates.
- Chris Vancil created a series of images (and eventually movies) that will show critical portions of the TEMPO³ mission.
- Mike Carroll created a fine art image showing TEMPO³'s place between the past and future.
- There is much more to come!
