Room Check In: Check in for rooms at the Front Desk of Sproul Hall. If you will be using ground transportation via one of the airports, have them drop you off at Sproul Hall. If you are driving, you will have a 30 minute parking grace period in order to check in and pick up parking passes. If you arrive when registration is open please pick up your parking passes at the Mars Society Registration Desk. Early Registration is on Weds, Aug 29, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, outdoors, in front of the main doors of Sproul Hall. Thursday through Saturday Registration is open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday it is open from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Early Registration: as stated above, early registration is on Weds, Aug 29 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm outdoors, in front of the main entrance to Sproul Hall. This is also known as the 'Sunset Village Turnaround'.

MEAL TICKETS FOR PERSONS WITH BOOKED ROOM: While room check is at the Front Desk in Sproul Hall, the meal tickets associated with your room NEED TO BE PICKED UP at the Mars Society Registration Table. If you arrive when Registration is closed, your meal tickets can be picked up at the Front Desk of Sproul Hall, but please make every effort to pick them up at the Registration Desk as we are responsible for distribution and UCLA Conference Services is allowing for pick up of meal tickets and parking passes as a courtesy to us. In the event of any problems, the Front Desk at Sproul Hall will have contact numbers for several of the Mars Society Convention organizers - including mine.

Dining Halls: This information supersedes the information in the previous newsletter: Covel Commons dining hall will be used from 27 Aug through lunch on 1 September Rieber Hall dining hall will be used from dinner 1 September through dinner on 4 September

Covel Common dining room hours 27 Aug through lunch on 1 Sept: Breakfast 7:00 am - 9:00 am; Lunch 11:00 am - 2:00 pm; Dinner 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Rieber Hall dining room hours beginning with dinner on 1 Sept through dinner on 4 Sept: Breakfast 7:00 am - 10:00 am; Lunch 11:30 am - 2:00 pm; Dinner 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Late Checkout/Luggage Storage: to simplify these arrangements, we have been informed that ALL ROOMS will have a late checkout of 5:00 pm. There will be no services provided for luggage storage.

UCLA Conference Services has requested that all attendees use the North Promenade entrance of Covel Commons to access all Mars Society Convention activities except for Room Check In, Early Registration and after hours pick up of parking passes and meal tickets. Please help us in accommodating this request.

For anyone who may still be looking for a ride to, from, or during the conference, a ride-share board has been created.
