We Want You Back!
Ten years have passed since the founding convention of The Mars Society in Boulder, Colorado. In that decade thousands of people have joined our ranks to promote the goal of getting humans to Mars. However, in the last few years, we have lost a number of you. Some have simply let their membership lapse, even though they are active members in their chapters. Others have let their membership slip because they felt that we were not responsive enough to our membership. Regardless of the reasons, WE WANT YOU BACK.
We now have a more attractive membership offer than we have ever offered before: get three years of membership for the price of two years. Of course, we are happy to welcome you back for just one year too -- just for starters, we hope. Those interested in renewing their membership or joining for the first time can do so on our web site.

Religion and Space Exploration: What impact will space impact on religion (if any)? What would the theological implications be of finding life on another planet? What has been the history of religion and space studies? We will be discussing these topics and many more aspects of this profound topic.
Web Advocacy for Mars and Generation Y: There has been much discussion lately about why members of "Generation Y" are not excited about space exploration. We will have in depth discussions on this topic and have presentations on how best to utilize the web for space advocacy.
Mars Project Challenge: Finalists in The Mars Society Mars Project Challenge (MPC) will make presentations explaining why their proposed project should be The Mars Society’s next big project. At the conclusion of the MPC presentations, the membership of the mars Society will have an opportunity to vote for the project which they feel would best promote The Mars Society’s goals of sending humans to Mars.
You have until May 25th to send in your proposals If you think you have a great project that will advance our efforts to send humans to Mars, we want to hear from you.
