by Jean Lagarde last modified 2007-08-28 00:06 — expired

Discovery Channel Canada will premiere the miniseries "The Race to Mars", on 23 September, and is organizing a public debate on 15 September, including Robert Zubrin as one of the panelists. Tickets to participate live at the debate, in Toronto, Ontario, are free, but act fast, the deadline to RSVP is 27 Aug.

The miniseries

From the Discovery Channel Race to Mars web site:

Somewhere on the planet are ten-year-olds who will likely be the first people to set foot on Mars. Race to Mars, a landmark four-hour expedition miniseries, imagines and simulates with breathtaking realism what astronauts will experience on the first human mission to Mars.

The miniseries will initially be aired on Discovery Channel Canada, starting 23 September.

Darlene Lim, member of the Mars Society's Steering Committee, was among the advisors for the miniseries.
