EVA #21 Report

April 24, 2008

Henrik Hargitai

Time:
1750-1840

Crew Members:
Hargitai H., Boros-Oláh M.

Site Location:
Widows Peak

Transit Mode:
ATV

Objectives:

To take images for atmospheric observations (dust content of the air is high now); Widows Peak offers a grand view of the area –- visibility change is easy to observe.

Lessons Learned:

- Driving ATV using backpack #5 is difficult.

- Helmets are so full of micro scratches that when driving towards the Sun, visibility is very low.

- Strong winds can alone move the ATV together with its driver.

- Standing on peaks at the rim of Widow's Peak area is not safe in strong wind.
