Notes/Comments: There was a problem with the 5-speed ATV, the one which uses a foot pedal to shift gears. It stalled and died while on a mission. The suspected causes of engine failure are a flooded carburetor or overheating. This malfunctioning ATV was towed back to the Hab using the large green ATV. After a very short while, the ATV was again operational.
Advice: check fuel line and carb for blockage, check coolant levels.
The "check belt" indicator light is on, on the large green ATV. The manual for this vehicle says that the check belt comes on after a certain amount of miles on the vehicle, and is merely a reminder that it is time to inspect the belt. If the belt does fail, the vehicle will immediately lock up and this can cause serious injury to the driver.
