Commander's Report
20 March 2008

Emily Colvin

Another day and we're in sim! This crew has enjoyed being outside so much that they were definitely sad to lose the freedom to wander around outside. I think that once we get EVAs going, however, they'll perk back up. Of course, they've discovered the pile of games and a couple have realized that although we're on Mars, spring break back on Earth is quickly coming to an end and assignments will be coming due. Which is always a depressing prospect.

We're getting into a routine, which is nice. I suspect we'll really get it settled and working like magic about the time we head out. Although we'll at least leave the Hab working much better than it was when we arrived. I love fixing things. And the rest of the crew seems to as well, or at least they're fixing things with the best of 'em and being patient with systems that are behaving badly. And that's all I ask. I couldn't expect more from a crew than a good attitude, and these guys have the best.

Over the next couple of days, we'll be getting our schedule for the rest of the rotation hammered out, figuring out who wants to go where, and letting them arm wrestle for different locations. Which should add lots of bonus amusement. :)
