Commander's Check-In Report
March 6, 2008
Veronica Ann Zabala-Aliberto
Crew Physical Status:
The Crew is healthy and in good spirits. We are looking forward to seeing our Executive Officer.
Time Departed/Returned from EVA:
12:30 hrs Departed, 17:00 hrs Returned
Brief Narrative of Field Mission Results:
The F.L.A.M.E. Crew took a different road into Candor Chasma today. We found a new concretion-bearing site that the Crew never encountered before. We also found a region in which there were large deposits of brine.
We showed our Chief Engineer how to take samples and coordinate readings and how to look at the environment around you to determine if there was any evidence of fluvial and/or Aeolian processes present.
EVA Data/Interpretations:
This EVA went very well. We had an emergency in which one of the crewmembers needed to go back to the MDRS but everything turned out fine.
There are some difficulties with the suits. PLSS number five's fans died and our Executive Officer has minimal air.
Hab Maintenance:
Today we did basic housekeeping. Our water tank is working now thanks to our Chief HSO and Engineer.

Supplies are sufficient. Our Executive Officer will be coming to the MDRS sometime tonight so we will have plenty of resupply.
