EVA #11 Report

February 27, 2008

Cassandra Marion

Time:
Departed at 09:45 - Returned at 12:41
Departed: 14:32pm - Returned: 16:32pm

Crew Members:
Cassandra Marion, Heather Allaway, Aravind Seeni

Site Location:
Brahe Hwy and Copernicus Hwy.

Transit Mode:
ATV

Objectives:
We set out to sample more halophiles and to explore a route that none of us
had taken before. Randy asked us to sample some really nice rocks for
him too.

Lessons Learned:
We learned that Aravind is an ATV speed demon. We also learned where
the turn offs were for the inexperienced route. All the routes were
in relatively good condition, but some of the turn-offs were a little
hidden. There is nice mound of calcite deposits which we sampled for
Randy half way down Brahe.
