EVA #9 Report

February 7, 2008

Arthur Guest

Time:
Departed: 14:57 Returned: 15:48

Crew Members:
Arthur Guest, Kerry Cupit

Site Location:
Hab and Engineering Area

Transit Mode:
On Foot (with ATV as "wheel barrow")

Objectives:
Sweep the front porch for our Japanese media visitors this weekend.
Remove temporary skirt from habitat and place in Engineering Area.
Remove temporary water hose from side of habitat and place in Engineering Area.
Transfer one working red ATV and one nonfunctioning green ATV to Engineering Area to allow engineers to attempt repairs.

Lessons Learned:
This EVA was a simple maintenance EVA around the Habitat and the Engineering Area. All tasks were completed satisfactorily. The main lesson learned was that the ATVs could be used to transfer the skirt planks by placing the planks on the ATV and walking beside the ATV while carefully throttling and steering.
