Crew Narrative
Jared Szymanoski Reporting

Today went well. I was introduced to the "Hab", as well as the other F.L.A.M.E. Crew Members. Everyone got all of their food and bags upstairs, after the un-fun train (where everyone stand at different positions from the airlock to the stairs and then there is a person positioned at the top of the stairs) to bring everything to the second floor of the Hab. I got my crew quarters all set up and everything fits in well. Angie forgot her sheet music, so I need to contact her Band Instructor, Mr. Legge to see if he can get me a copy of it from "Earth". All the girls are sleeping up above in the attic, and Gino is next to my crew quarters.

Veronica is in the first room closest to the kitchen which is the Commander's room, next to Gino. It's been a easy day so far. We are just getting situated, and getting things in working order. I have yet to explore the downstairs MDRS Science Laboratory.

Gino, Maddie, and I went for a short hike around the Hab so I got to explore the terrain a little more. I didn't get to see it much, after the wild ride in to make it on time for our Crew Exchange this morning. We are planning to hike up a hill at 1800 hours to shoot a time lapse of the Moon rising. As for the children's school work -- I think my lessons will work out just fine. Iahu-Anut's work will be a challenge, being in Dutch, but I think I will be able to help her with it. Angelina, Madeline and Gino do not have as much work as I would have liked the school to have given them, however this gives us more time to participate in some science experiments that Veronica has given me. I think this trip to Mars will be very fun and I can't wait to start simulation!
