Commander's Check-In
Melissa Battler Reporting

Crew Physical Status: Feeling VERY happy after another incredibly fun, successful day of training, however shoulders are tender from firearms training.

Time Departed/Returned from EVA: No EVA's today.

Brief Narrative of Field Mission Results: None.

Plans for Tomorrow: Address FMARS safety issues; do navigation and Sklar FDM (Field Documentation Methodology) training; do geology/biology field & lab training; work on inventory/FMARS list.

Report Transmission Schedule: Commander's Check-in and Engineering Report by 7:30, Journalist Report and Daily Photos by 9:00 pm.

Maintenance: Lots of ATV repair; see engineering report for details.

EVA Narrative/Data/Interpretations: N/A

Inventory: Supplies are adequate. Crew is happy.

Miscellaneous: Today we did more advanced firearms training and ATV training. We also discussed polar bear safety, and are beginning to develop our polar bear safety protocol for FMARS. Tonight we will continue to work on our FMARS planning & safety protocol.
