Journalist Report
Danielle Cormier Reporting

With the troubles getting in and out of V'ger while wearing spacesuits yesterday, we came up with an idea of using an unpressurized rover for this morning's EVA. So this morning, Melissa and Olathe suited up and jumped onto the back of Paul's truck. They made their way to Salt Wash to collect some more evaporate samples. Meanwhile, Jon, Randy and Lealem proceeded to clean out the fuel tanks of two of the ATVs to try to get them back into working order. Danielle, for her part, stayed in and acted as Habcom since she's been nursing a pretty nasty cold since last night.

Melissa and Olathe came back early afternoon and after a quick lunch, the crew continued on their various tasks. Melissa and Olathe made some progress on their research while Jon, Randy and Lealem made some adjustments on the carburetors of the two ATV whose fuel tanks had been drained. By the end of the day, both ATVs were back into working order and ready to be used for an EVA tomorrow.

Tonight, after all reports have been turned in and dinner has been consumed, Melissa and Olathe will give the rest of the crew a presentation on their detailed research objectives for the mission. This will be followed by playing card games while enjoying some beverages that we have been keeping for the weekend.
