Weekly Health & Safety Report

Minor Medical Incidents:
  • Eye stye treated & healed in one crew member
  • Congestion has cleared up in another crew member
  • Cough developing in a few crew members
  • One crew member stepped on a thumb tack; treated & healing
  • One crew member has developed a cold
  • Another crew member coming down with a cold
Safety Concerns/Danger Spots:
  • Path up to observatory needs to be cleared of loose rocks (in progress)
  • "Emergency exit" sign could be posted over exit window?
Medical Supplies Used:
  • Multivitamins: 8
  • Vitamin C: 4
  • Cough drops: 5
  • Tylenol: 2
  • Sudafed: 1
  • Theraflu Cold & Flu: 3
  • Gauze pads: 2
  • Bandaids: 8 regular size
  • Erythromycin ophthalmic ointment: small amount (remainder returned to lock-box)
Disposed of expired pregnancy test (following Flight Surgeon's orders; new ones available in cabinet)

Lack of Needed Health Supplies:
  • Contoured bandaids (for hand/finger injuries)
  • athletic tape
  • cough drops
  • throat lozenges
  • water-proof bandaids
