EVA-3:

Time: 4:10 pm to 6:00 pm
Crew Members: Olathe, Melissa
Site Location: Original goal Candor Chasma; only got as far as about 1 km ENE from Hab
Transit Mode: Attempted ATV-EVA; transition to pedestrian EVA when ATVs broke down near Hab

Objectives: Original objectives included identifying evaporates, sampling for halophiles, and testing regolith-landform mapping techniques. Objectives were reduced after ATV failure, and only scouting and evaporate identification were carried out.

Lessons Learned: When the engineers request an extra day to work on the ATVs before taking them out on EVAs, listen to them!!

EVA-3.5:

Time: 5:00 pm to 5:45 pm
Crew Members: EVA Commander: Lealem, EVA Crew: Randy
Site Location: Disabled ATV location, adjacent to Hab
Transit Mode: Pedestrian EVA

Objectives: Troubleshooting and recovery of disabled ATV-1 and ATV-2.
