Journalist Report
Danielle Cormier Reporting

The crew woke up to a beautiful sunny day, and after a quick breakfast, headed out for a morning hike to Phobos Peak. We left behind our teammate Melissa, who had to go to Hanksville to participate in a teleconference on her upcoming 4-month expedition to the Flashline Mars Arctic Research Station (FMARS) on Devon Island in the arctic.

The afternoon was spent reading and taking tests to get certified to use the observatory. Tonight will be spent getting observatory training from Paul. Hopefully, after tonight, every member of our team will be certified to use the telescope and associated equipment. We plan to do at least two astronomy nights during our rotation.
