Notes/Comments: This morning we noticed that the generator had shut itself off during the night. Battery voltage was at its lower limit when we noticed. After investigation, it was determined that the lug on the starter-motor side of the cable that runs from the battery to the starter motor had come loose. It had shorted by connecting to something and the resulting spark destroyed the lug. The lug was replaced and electrical tape was used to better insulate the area around the connection. The generator has operated normally since the repair.

If we do use liquid nails or other means of repairing, the manifold may require complete replacement. Please advise.

Notes/Comments: Today we lost flushing water. Upon investigating, we noticed that RFT1 and RFT2 had no water flow. We filled both tanks, cleaned the filter bags around the pumps and the feed-rings. We also noticed that there was no water in the tank above Aquatic Tank 4. We determined that the fuse was blown for the transfer pump from Aquatic Tank 4 to this tank. We replaced the fuse and also replaced the filters. After having completed this, everything seemed to be running great. About 3 hours later, water was noticed pooling just outside the forward airlock for the GreenHab. While investigating, we noticed that RFT1 only had a very small trickle, RFT2 had no flow, and the tank above Aquatic Tank 2 was nearly empty. It appears that there is a leak from one of the Aquatic Tanks or the interconnecting piping. We will investigate further tomorrow morning.

Status: Today Anna planted some lettuce, mint and tomatoes. She also cleared out some of the over growth in the spinach and made a compost bucket.
