EVA Report
Seth Koterba Reporting

EVA-01:

Time: 10:33 am - 12:23 pm
Site Location: past U.S. General Land Office Survey stake (UTM 0518688 4250437) to base of Phobos Peak (UTM 0519241 4250360)
Transit Mode: Pedestrian EVA

Objectives: Scientific introduction and orientation to the area near the Hab. To gain experience collecting geologic and biologic samples in simulation.

Tasks Perform: Several potentially interesting samples were collected for analysis and lots of trash was removed from the environment

Lessons Learned: Taking a couple backup radios along is a great way to resolve radio issues (battery failure, transmission or receiving errors, etc.) while in the field. Properly adjusting packs and helmets before leaving the Hab greatly improves comfort throughout the EVA.
