Log Book for February 29, 2004
Commander's Check-In
Kevin Sloan Reporting

This check in is being submitted at 20:30 MST, one hour late. The reason for this being that Kevin had to drive to Grand Junction, CO to pick up Crew 25's 6th member, Dennis Creamer.

Crew Status: All 6 crew members are finally in, and excited for a successful mission! Everyone is in excellent health.

Daily Recap: The team arrived at the Hab at 8:30, about an hour and half late due to a mishap with the minivan, a dried up creek bed, and their lack of compatibility. Crew 24 spent about 3 hours training Crew 25 on the various systems and procedures, at which point they departed for Salt Lake City. The new crew finished settling in, organized the food, and conducted a short EVA. At 13:00 the commander left the sim to meet the 6th member. The two of them returned to the hab at 20:00, in time for dinner, team briefing and report writing.

Tomorrow's Plan: Most of tomorrow is still tentative as the crew has not had a chance to discuss any plans as an entire group. Plans thus far include an analysis of the GreenHab situation, a full analysis of the situation with the PSUMS rover project, and an afternoon EVA to practice navigation skills.

Daily Report: Due to today's offset schedule, the reports will be somewhat late tonight. All reports should be submitted by 22:30. This will allow the team time to have its first full-crew meeting.
