Commander's Check-In
Digby Tarvin Reporting

Crew Physical Status: One crew member has had a fall from an ATV and is being monitored by the HSO and flight surgeon for signs of serious injury. Thus far the flight surgeon has not determined any need to seek additional medical attention. Other members of the EVA were shaken by the experience.

Brief Narrative of Mission Results: Today we undertook an ATV towing exercise, followed by a geological EVA to North West. At 14:27 I received a radio message from the EVA reporting an ATV accident. All crew members are now back in the hab, and appear to have suffered no serious injury. However my HSO is currently in communication with the flight surgeon as a precaution. However the crew were a little shaken by the experience, so I have made the decision to give them the night off. Consequently there will only be a few reports this evening.

Plans for Tomorrow: Tomorrow was to be combined geological and geophysical EVA, however I will review the situation in the morning and may substitute a less demanding schedule including a local foot EVA, combined with the cancelled activities from this afternoon.

Report Transmission Schedule: The reports that are going to be sent this evening will be
  1. This check-in report.
  2. Commander's Report.
  3. Geology Report
  4. Engineering Report.
The reports will be submitted by 20:30 this evening.

Inventory: No change.

Support Requested: No change.
