Commander's Check-In
Digby Tarvin Reporting

Crew Physical Status: All crew members fit and healthy, with the crewmember that previously had mobility problems now able to participate fully in all activities with care.

Brief Narrative of Mission Results: Wednesday started with some training in radio voice procedures and navigation using the myriad of different GPS units that we have with us. This was followed by a three EVAs which included a walking GPS navigational exercise with the four least experienced members taking a turn at navigating a leg. This was followed by two ATV EVAs which included all crew members that had not previously taken part in one.

Plans for Tomorrow: Tomorrow will include an engineering EVA to diagnose a problem that has developed with ATV 3, followed by an ATV EVA to an area identified as being interesting by the crew geologist.

Report Transmission Schedule: The reports that are going to be sent this evening will be:
  1. This check-in report.
  2. Commander's Report.
  3. 3 EVA Reports.
  4. Geology Report.
  5. Journalists report.
  6. Engineering Report.
The reports will be submitted by 22:00 this evening.

Inventory: Food stocks are still good. We are keeping a close eye on water as we are concerned about possible freezing problems if it gets too low.

Support Requested: ATV three seems to be due for a thorough service.
