Kyoichi Sasazawa Reporting

MDRS, UT. Feb. 16 -- The Crew 24 experienced a great sunset view from the top of the mountain. We held a first excursion using personal GPS units, and tried to confirm an unconformity boundary between upper Cretaceous and late Jurassic. The journey was about 2.6 kilometers. It took about 2.5 hours. Five of crew participated, except Diego, who covered machine maintenance, mission control at MDRS and was today's chef. BGM at dinner was Holst's "planets".

We went toward three southeast waypoints. I planned this rough route. Finally we climbed a hill, which is located 1.3 kilometers southeast from MDRS at 4679 ft, enjoyed great view from the top. Details of this excursion are described in other reports.

Additionally we found 2 types of footprints. Both of them are obviously mammal's footprints because of traces of finger and nail (hoof?). One type is about 10-15cm lengths each and another is about 4cm. I have an idea. We'll try to identify these.
