EVA-5 Report
Crew 18 Reporting

Dave Scott, Simone Kosol The EVA under the leadership of Dave Scott went out with the ATV's looking for salt deposits containing halophiles north of the hab. Before heading out they placed Petras dosimeter, picked up some of Elia and Simone's liquid samples and took the trash out.They headed north of Tank Wash, then east to Skyline Rim. From there they went north to Muddy Creek and collected three salt samples and two water samples.

One of these water samples is for Mark to calibrate a water contamination detector.They returned to the hab to take temperature and humidity readings in the greenhab and retrieve Petra's dosimeter. 10:13 crew entered Airlock for prebreathe10:43 crew left airlock10:46 placement of dosimeter outside10:50 waste disposal, retrieved samples 19, 20, 2110:59 samples 7,8,911:05 samples 16,17,1811:12 samples 13,14,1511:18 samples 10,11,1211:21 crew placed the samples in airlock11:23 crew departed on ATV's northward11:43 crew changed direction to west towards Skyline Rim11:49 they reached Skyline Rim and headed for Muddy Creek12:20 they took first salt sample12:57 second sample collected13:19 third sample obtained13:25 crew started back toward hab14:41 crew arrived at hab and started greenhab check14:54 they entered airlock for 5 min repressurization.
