Commander's Summary
Brent Bos Reporting
We made it to Mars today! We went into full simulation at Noon today after a quick trip into Hanksville to buy more oil, send out the waivers and buy some traps for a few stowaways.
Another pedestrian EVA was completed today led by Dave Scott and accompanied by Mark Moran and Joan Roch. It lasted 2 hours 51 minutes.
Rather unbelievably, 2 of the team members, Dave and Joan, decided to give Elia a hand in GreenHab maintenance in full sim! They are still out there and its already been 1 hour and 50 minutes. The crew is taking this simulation thing seriously!
Don Foutz stopped by to take a look at the oil situation. We're up to using about 3 quarts a day now. The generator has a pretty serious leak.
Tomorrow we're going for an ATV EVA over 3 hours - probably with Dave Scott as the leader and Simone and Joan as the other team members. They will be scouting for some appropriate place to take biology samples for Elia and Simone. We will work out the details tonight. Planning EVA's will get a little more complicated now to stay within our reference mission's guidelines.
