General Engineering Report
Derek O'Keeffe Reporting
Generator/Electricity: The gasoline generator was filled at 0700 and again at 1930.
Water: Transferred 37 gallons at 08.40
Optical Telescope: We tried to implement the ideas suggested by Peter Detterline with limited success – we have sent him off some more questions which we then hope to implement tomorrow night.
Radio Telescope: We have now set up the Jove Radio telescope with the suggested settings of John Samouce and have been recording all day. We also have sent him a number of questions which we hoped to have answered over the next day or so.
Everest Rover: The Rover is not being used to power the Hab.
Computers: All machines and networks are running well.
Green Hab Conditions Today:
07.30: Temp. Inside - 57F - Humidity - 48%
13.30: Temp. Inside - 122F - Humidity - 8%
19.30: Temp. Inside - 63F - Humidity - 20%
Propane Tanks:
Habs Propane Tank - 80%
Generac Propane Tanks:
North Tank - 70%
South Tank - 80%
Note: We are due to get the fixed Generac generator back tomorrow (Wednesday 26/3/03)
Additional Activities: Two geological EVAs were carried out today and all equipment functioned
well.
The broken tail lights on the F350 were fixed today and are now functioning properly.
