General Engineering Report
Matt Bamsey Reporting
Generator/Electricity: Generator checked at 0645 hrs. Frequency still oscillating to some degree. Run time at 2565.7 hours. Voltage reading as usual seems high but last time we had the generator off it was noticed that the voltage still gave a reading. Next time it is shut off - gauge should be recalibrated.
Propane: At 0645 hrs the tanks measured: South 65%, North 43%, Furnace 70%.
Water: The internal water tank was refilled from 4 to 60 gallons at 0845hrs.
Larry Ekker refilled the large external tank at approximately 1845 hrs. Another internal tank refilling from 14 to 55 gallons was performed at 2000hrs.
GreenHab: No new progress to report.
Everest Rover: Training session given to new crew members. Installed temporary locking mechanism for the back door so full simulation can be performed without having to move through the cab to enter the vehicle (as currently the key to the rear door is in Ann Arbour).
Ares Rover: Training session given to new crew members.
Datalogger: Continued experimenting with implmenting a digital camera with the Datalogger. Utilized a camera that could communicate with 'Picture Transfer Protocol' but could not command the camera to take an image. Supported Datalogger use for an EVA.
Additional Activities: MDRS suit number five was restored to full functionality by the replacement of the on/off toggle switch. All five suits seems to be ready for use.
ATV number one was checked for functionality. Air filter in both ATV number one and two were cleaned and reinstalled. Connection to carberator heater was found to be disconnected - connection made. Servicing may be required.
