General Engineering Report
Matt Bamsey Reporting
Generator: Don Foutz installed the replacement governer control board into the main generator. The main generator was put back online at approximately 1130 hrs. It was check periodicly throughout the day. The frequency readings show much less oscillation than they previously did. Generally only oscillating between 59 and 61 Hz, rather than up to and over 65 Hz (though holding steady for most periods). Monitoring will continue.
Propane: Generator tanks were measured at 1800 hrs. South tank gave a reading of 73% while the North tank gave 65%. Daily readings will be carried out now that the main generator is back online. Water: Internal tank filled from 3 gallons to 53 gallons at 1740 hrs. The hab maintenance team will make a constant effort to assure that the tank level does not reach this low from here on out.
GreenHab: Pump from tank 4 to the sand filter was disconnected and the living machine was allowed to recirulate over itself using the 500 GPH pump in tank 5. Wiring diagram of the GreenHab was produced.
Addtional Activities: A detailed power budget was started and a list of all power drawing devices and their associated power completed.
Datalogger software improvements were made with new status messages implemented into the system during audio logging. Detailed datalogger training was given out to the hab maintenance team.
Two five gallon drums were filled in Hanksville to give approximately 20 gallons in canisters.
