General Engineering Report
Matt Bamsey Reporting
Generator/Electricity: - Still running on the backup generator. Generator refilled at 0610 hrs. Oil was added at 0850 hrs. Two other generator refuelings occurred at 1300 hrs and 2200 hrs - note - these were not complete fills.
Propane Tanks: - measured at 0920 hrs. #1 tank (North side) is at 65%. #2 tank (South side) is at 72% (though this is currently somewhat irrelevant though this represents the readings since it has been shut down). The furnace tank is at 77%.
Water: The water tank was refilled from 18 to 55 gallons at 0830 hrs. It was refilled again at 2130 hrs from 10 to 57 gallons.
Additional Activities: The partially functioning MDRS spacesuit #5 had a new fan installed and a battery switched over. The old battery is being check to see if it still works.
Leaks around the pump pushing water from the large external tank to the internal tank were investigated and the leak rate was decreased to some degree. The leak is small and only occurs during pump usage.
A hand pump found lying at the side of the hab was though roughly cleaned both externally and internally and was setup for use in pumping gas from the large 55 gallon drum into the smaller 5 galloon canisters.
A mechanic who visited the hab with Don Foutz took a look at the generator and suggested that we replace the current governor control board.
