General Engineering Report
Jean Lagarde Reporting
Generator/Electricity - measured at 0530 hrs: Voltage at 250 vac. Amperage needle is pretty much on zero. Frequency 61 Hertz and DC volts are at 15 vdc.
Propane Tanks - measured at 0530 hrs: #1 tank (North side) is at 0%. #2 tank (South side) is at 24%. The furnace tank is at 55%. The Hobbs meter is at 2331.5. It seems that we will make it to our refill date, but I am considering turning off the generator tonight as an experiment while we sleep to save power. The only issue would be that the furnace requires electricity to work and it still gets cold here at night (the wake up would be the worst part).
Water: The water tank was refilled from 30 to 55 gallons at 0730 hrs. Some took showers today for the first time but I have just got around to printing a wash schedule today and need to ask the crew to follow it at dinner. Because of the larger crew I want to allow two showers and two sponge baths per day.
Additional Activities: No major engineering activities today other than the inspection of the porta-potty that I conducted this morning and reported on earlier. Don Foutz visited today to brief everyone about what services he can offer. I will describe a minor reconfiguration of the greenhab lights in the GreenHab report.
