General Engineering Report
Jean Lagarde Reporting

Generator/Electricity: Voltage steady at 250 vac. Steve Jordan noted a value of 10 for the amperage, but that didn't seem to fit with what I saw the day before and previous reports so we went back to the generator to look at the dial. I still think that the reading was probably lower, but the scale is not easy to read on the low end -- there are no gradations at all between the ten and the zero mark, and the needle hovers very close to the zero mark (the gradations are not linear by the way). Any suggestion as to how accurate the reading needs to be? . Frequency 60 Hertz and DC volts steady at 15 vdc.

Propane Tanks: (taken at 0630 hrs) #1 tank (North side) is now at 4%. #2 tank (South side) is at 30%. The furnace tank is at 90%. The Hobbs meter was at 2307.4.

Water: The water tank was filled once today at 12:30 hrs from 12 to 60 gallons (yes, we had a bit of a spill and the duty filler hopefully learned his lesson). We are currently a crew of 15, you figure out the usage and please let us know.

Additional Activities: As Julie indicated, we have shortened the GreenHab light time by one hour from both ends. The leak at the pump near the UV filter was apparently due to one of the pump outlets (a part of the pump, screwed in the rest of the pump against a washer) having become loose. I have simply retightened it. I have also put the pump back in its rails so there is no need for duct tape to hold it. Again, as Julie indicated we fully agree that the incinolet should not be used for urine; we will use waiste water collected from the kitchen and washroom sink to chase the water in the flush toilet (and keep water in it). We received the instructions from Gary Fisher to place the Greenhab out of the Hab loop and will hopefully execute within the next couple of days.

We have once again reorganized the network (do not be concerned, this was done without touching or even getting close to the habcom computer). We have found a Netgear switch in the loft, have used it to replace the hub, moved that hub to the crew computer table, and added another hub (three ports only, 10 base-t, which I had brought just in case) in the downstairs lab area.

I do not think I missed anything important, but evenings seem to be a bad time for me to send these reports, whith this large crew making demands at the same time. I might try to send them earlier in the day.
