First EVA (EVA 1) was performed. Four Crewmembers, surveyed the immediate area around the Habitat location. EVA commander Klaus Totzek, Biologist Patrick Diel, Geologist Sigi Belzer and Engineer Tom Dirlich. Several sites were examined and tested for planned geological and biological experiments.

Technical problems occurred during EVA. Most important problems: Nonfunctioning radio systems and ill fitting EVA suits.
