A group of
newly-arrived researchers from the University of Wisconsin rang in the New Year this evening at the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) in southern Utah. Designated as Crew 110-A, the team of six graduate and undergraduate students toasted red Martian fruit punch next to the steps of the Mars hab while testing out their space suits during a New Year’s Eve EVA. The Mars Society would like to wish everyone, including its members, friends and supporters, a very happy and healthy New Year! [Image: MDRS / Julie Mason] |
