K. Mark Caviezel
 K. Mark Caviezel is an aerospace engineer. A former sergeant in the US Marine Corps, K. Mark will be operating out of sim to provide armed escort for our EVA sorties. This is necessary, because crew members wearing suits have insufficient situational awareness to be safe from polar bears. He will also do all of the routine out-of-sim support activities, thereby allowing to core crew to remain in-sim nearly continuously for the for the three-week rotation. K. Mark is the Mars Society member who set up the repeater system for the MDRS, and he will set up two repeaters for us on Devon, thereby allowing us to extend our operating range continuously. In addition, he will take digital video footage of our activities that the MS will distribute to the press and also use to produce a documentary of our own. |
