Rover Report
Joe Sapp & Amy Blank Reporting

Today was a working day for the rover team. We began by checking the specs of the motor drivers for the maximum current rating and the motors for the maximum current draw. We continued by measuring the current draw for each of the drive motors under the maximum load the rover would put on them. This was a challenge, considering that each of the motors is capable of drawing well over 10 Amps, the maximum current rating of the multimeters available. We solved this problem by putting three multimeters in parallel and mentally adding the currents together.

The rest of the day was spent choosing and finding fuses. A 30 Amp fuse was wired in between the motor driver and motors, which should be sufficient to allow the rover to run its best while keeping the motor drivers safe. Due to this afternoon's EVA, the changes were not completed in time to test the rover in daylight.
