Log Book for April 26, 2006
Commander's Check-In
Dr. William J. Clancey Reporting

Weather: Again - Sunny, calm, intense light and very clear; low 7.78c (46 F) high 23.3c (73.9F), humidity 9% at 6:30 pm.

Crew Physical Status: Healthy, and now in the groove.

Brief Narrative of Today's Results: We used the power system agent, continued developing crew member models, and tried to complete setup of the Crew Activity Analyzer (CAA). We also had a 4 pm lecture- presentation about formal procedure representation.

We were still unable to connect one of the listeners to the CAA program. Unfortunately, the developer was taking the day off back home, so we didn't have sufficient round-trip interactions to debug the problem. We determined that crew tracking would have three blind spots--data would be still usable, but we preferred to have the upper deck properly covered (the listeners have only a 45 degree cone of sensitivity and must be within 4 m of the person, plus three listeners must detect the person to locate them).

The Mobile Agents voice commanding system using Bluetooth headsets is operational. We used it during a generator-inverter oscillation problem. However, as the oscillation frequency was every 1 minute, the receipt of data from OneMeter every 15 minutes was woefully inadequate. We await an upgrade to 5 min updates (yesterday I incorrectly stated 1 min, which is really what we require.)

As a result of our experience with this generator fault (cause still unresolved), we will add new speech acts to the system, such as, "What amps was the hab using at
