Log Book for March 30, 2006
Commander's Check-In
Dr. Jan Osburg Reporting

Crew Physical Status: Everyone is doing OK (see HSO report for minor items).

Brief Narrative of Today's Results: Our second day with the CMT crew. They came along with us on EVA and did some final interviews. We also finished part of the power meter installation.

EVA: EVA07 to the radiation/shovel/ISRU research area 3 km south of the Hab along Lowell Highway.

Plans for Tomorrow: Finish power meter installation, do final in-sim EVA, finish miscellaneous engineering items. We will end sim as planned after dinner tomorrow night.

Report Transmission Schedule:
  • Today's engineering report has been transmitted via the web interface.
  • The other reports (CDR, HSO, SCI, UPG, JNL, EVA) will be transmitted between 2000h and 2100h.
Miscellaneous: Interacting with the TV crew was fun but exhausting since we also had to take care of our regular activities.

Support Requested: One crewmember's toothbrush fell behind a cabinet and hence is no longer usable. An emergency resupply request for a spare toothbrush has been sent to Don.

More to follow.

Jan Osburg
Commander, MDRS Crew 47
