Hab Upgrade Report
Emily Colvin Reporting
My morning started with the completion of my box. I really like it. Pictures will be posted to the Engineering WebDAV and possibly with the crew's pictures of the day.
After finishing my box, I ran yellow smurf pipe from the GreenHAB to the hab. This was special as it required me to run the pipe under the hab and up the main column. No surprises awaited me, and it was successful. So the GreenHAB has a network connection (or it will as soon as I get the hab end of the cat5 connected to a hub) and a cat5 for the solar panel power meter shunt. This was a slightly bigger job than I expected, with some wrestling with the smurf pipe and the inherent difficulties in being unable to reach anything without a ladder, but I finally got it installed neatly and out of the way.
When Don came by this evening with the water refill, we figured out what we needed to do for the installation of the solar panel power meter shunt and got it installed. I didn't have my camera at the time, but pictures will follow tomorrow (don't want to take the camera out in the rain). I've unpacked the power meter controls and I'll mount everything tomorrow as soon as I get the go ahead to move some stuff around in engineering - I want to mount the display somewhere *I* can see it, which is somewhat limiting. If the weather continues to be gross, I'll also get most (or all) of the rest of the power meter sensors installed and get the whole system hooked up tomorrow, also. If the weather clears up and my EVA happens, they will be installed Thursday.
