Hab Upgrade Report
Emily Colvin Reporting
This morning, Don and Anne worked some more on the GSM. Still not working correctly, but we're narrowing down the problems so hopefully this thing will be up and running soon.
Anne recaulked the walls of the shower today. She couldn't get the floor, because of the standing water (which is, sadly, a problem we *can't* fix). The patching of the hole between the knobs will be fixed after another round of everyone getting a shower. Tomorrow, she's going to tackle the holes on the outside of the hab to make sure it's taken care of before it rains again (I like my room dry). While she's up there, she's going to foam around the heater exhaust vent and make a little flue cover for it.
Sometime in the next few days Anne and I are going to install a float switch for the upstairs potable water tank to prevent the future flooding of Jenny's sleeping bag. Anne's got the physical installation and I'm going to get the electrical connection. This division of labor has really worked well.
Tomorrow, I plan to work with Jan on the installation of the power meter sensors. This is going to involve getting into the breaker box, so I want all the help I can get. No crispy critters here.
I got an update on the stair light today. Apparently some of the parts are being difficult and not wanting to ship, but the guy building the light sensing circuit for me thinks he'll be able to get it here before the end of our rotation and we can remove the desk lamp and replace it with nice red LEDs (adapted tail lights) that turn on when it gets dark and run off the 24V DC circuit.
I plan to get the C40 load converter up and running, and the 12V cables up to Musk, on my next out-of-sim days. It'll be cool to be able to see the STV on the screen in the hab.
