Todd Romberger Reporting

Today was a very busy day at MDRS. After a morning briefing, the crew began to get suited up for the first set of EVAs. Veronica, Madeline, Menkes, and Todd took the ATV's out to two destinations, taking many samples and readings at several sites. The plans to venture on to Box Canyon were scrubbed after some trouble with starting one of the ATVs, and the team headed back to the Hab. Meanwhile, Stacy, Angelina, and Gino ventured on another EVA and performed a 0.5m transect on fossil bed north of the Hab. Both teams met up at the Hab for a lunch of BLTs, and planned the afternoon's activities. Veronica, Menkes, Gino, Madeline, and Todd decided to take the ATVs out to their original destination- Box Canyon. It was a productive EVA as many samples were collected and brought back for analysis. The crew is looking forward to a visit from the HGTV "Extreme Homes" crew tomorrow.
