EVA Report
Crew 46 Reporting

Start EVA: 11:30 hrs
End EVA: 1430 hrs
CDR Zabala-Aliberto: Geologist
Menkes van den Briel: Chief Engineer
Angelina Zabala: First Officer in Training
Madeline Zabala: Science Officer
Gino Zabala: Security Officer

Destination Name: .5 km north of MDRS

EVA Goals: To familiarize the F.L.A.M.E. crew with the local geology and test out prototype suits for smaller members of the crew as well as to collect samples for soil moisture project and detection of water.

Results: The crew had a productive pedestrian EVA testing the equipment and suits. Samples of the surface materials were collected and will be further examined tomorrow in the MDRS Science Laboratory. Soil samples will be weighed, baked and then measured again to determine how much water was contained in the martian soil during the winter season. We have obtained enough evidence to discern that there is an immense amount of water on Mars in the form of liquid water and ice.

Special Notes: The F.L.A.M.E. crew did an excellent job today on their first EVA. We were quite pleased on the amount of samples collected throughout our traverse.

Lessons Learned: Keep your humor harmless, pure and perfect. People don't understand irony.
