Project MAST Report
Hugh S. Gregory Reporting

First an apology to all for the delay in Project MAST Science Reports. I was evacuated to the Lowellville Pressure dome sickbay at the Whispering Sands Motel last Tuesday, February 28th, due to the onset of infectious bronchitis and was bedridden from Tuesday Evening to Sunday morning.

I am not noted for sleeping for 34 hours straight and at this time I wish to express my thanks to Paul Graham, the ETC, for alerting Don Foutz, the the Mars Society Local Manager that something was amiss and arranging for the meals which Don brought to me as I had a high fever and can not recall much from that period. My thanks also to the very professional staff of the Green River Medical Clinic for their quick diagnosis and medication of my infection which has enabled me to get back onto my feet so quickly.

Sunday was predicted on the sickbay TV (live from Earth) to be the last good day before five days of overcast skies and rain were to smother the Hanksville area. Feeling much better, but still coughing like a hard to light dragon, I bundled up until I looked like resident of the FMARS area and roared off on Don's ATV "Super Blue" to try and capture Cactus Road and the Candor Chasma access under sunny skies.

As I did not want to cough all over my crew mates, I arranged a "Check Out" and "Check In," with Don via telephone.

I could not have asked for better photographic conditions, just the right lighting angle and beautiful skies saw me run the batteries dry on Don's electronic camera.

So I got all of Cactus East and had made a start on Cactus Road North East before running out of camera power. Now if the rain holds off I will return tomorrow to finish the shooting the north eastern fork of the east end of Cactus Road.

All together 338 MAST data images were captured today. Good night to all from analogue Selene at MDRS.
