Guido Meyer Reporting

After crew preparations in Salt Lake City, Artemis Moonbase Simulation One crew departed from the Wasatch front. With William at the helm (and Guido navigating), the "Big Blue" Lunar Capsule made the journey past Green River before over-heating. It was later determined that we had experienced a major malfunction on the way to the Moon. Luckily enought, CargoCarrier "Foutz" was in a nearby orbit and was able to transfer crew to Hanksville. After a brief, overnight rest (and tortilla breakfast sandwiches), the crew took the final descent to the Lunar surface. MDRS Crew 44 kindly greeted us at the airlock door and happily introduced themselves.

The habitat was extremely clean. Crew hand-over was informal, but extremely detailed. The low pressure atmosphere allowed for a smooth transition from the MDRS Crew 44 "lunar habitat construction company" to the Artemis Moonbase Simulation One. I was then curious...."who is the first woman on the Moon?" By the way, Crew 44 rocks! Circling for 3 extra orbits, they decide to extend their stay at Lowell Station and help Moonbase Crew 45 transfer cargo and reload the habitat of essential equipment and personal gear. Their efforts at the newly renamed Moon Desert Research Station is much appreciated!
