Commander's Check-In
Melissa Battler Reporting

EVA: We had two full EVAs today (EVAs 6 & 7) to work out bugs in the datalogger system in the morning, and do biology and geology field work in the afternoon.

Crew Physical Status: Happy & healthy.

Brief Narrative of Today's Results: Today the engineers went on a morning EVA to figure out exactly how to use our dataloggers, and to scout out a potential geology study site. Then, the scientists went on an afternoon EVA to work on their field biology and geology projects. Meanwhile, the engineers did repairs in the green hab. This evening, the Spanish film crew stopped by to plan out their filming schedule for the next 3 days. Tonight Danielle will give a talk about voice loop protocol, to aid us with proper radio communication, and a few of the SCUBA divers on the crew will review SCUBA hand signals, for use in the event of radio failure.

Plans for Tomorrow: Tomorrow we will do 2 EVA's; geology in the morning, and biology in the afternoon. The Spanish film crew will be with us for the day, filming our activities for their documentary.
