Commander's Check-In
Melissa Battler Reporting

Today was the crew's first full day at MDRS. Our crew of 8 arrived in three separate groups (from SLC, Colorado, and Arizona), and after a rendezvous in Hanksville, we drove to MDRS, and enjoyed our first night at the habitat, last night. This morning saw a thorough hand-off briefing from Crew 43, and we spent the day discussing mission goals and objectives, and research and training plans.

Crew Physical Status: Crew is in good shape physically.

HSO Report: Crew Safety Briefing and Safety Training completed

Brief Narrative of Mission Results: Crew 44 is currently compiling our various Scientific and Engineering goals for the rotation, these will be consolidated and summarized.
